Best wedding food ever...

So on Sunday...we took a little trip to the wedding venue to taste the food that will be served at the wedding.

Let. me. just. tell. you.

They grow their own veggies and herbs.

They make pretty much almost everything from scratch.

Homemade dressings.

Cure their own bacon for seven days.

The yummiest meatballs I've ever had.

Bake their own bread.

Need I say more?!

I can't wait to chow down on that food...however I hear that the bride and groom rarely ever get to sit down...let alone eat lol. We shall see!

Hope you ladies have a fantastic day!

xoxo

  4. Are you going to do a sweetheart table? We did that and we ended up having time to eat and sit and look at everyone and really soak it in. It was one of my favorite parts of the whole night.

  5. While you're still in the planning process, make it a point to sit and eat after the ceremony and then get up and greet and dance! If not, have someone make you a basket full of all the food that is served so that atleast after the wedding you can have a good meal! You want to enjoy every aspect of your wedding, especially if the food is awesome!

  8. That sounds pretty amazing! We recently went to Sunday brunch at our venue and it was out of this world! By far the best brunch I've had! Can't wait for our actual tasting. We get to do our cake tasting in a few weeks! YAY! Cheers to wedding plans :)

  9. At a few of the weddings I have attended, I've known the B&G to eat during cocktail hour privately in a separate room. That way your tummy is nice and full for beverages! ;)

  10. At our wedding I probably had just one bite of everything... Every time I turned around I was being pulled in a million directions, complete overload of people & you don't want anyone to feel neglected. It was the best and most insane day ever but I wouldn't change it for the world :)

Oh but I didn't even get a piece of cake, just when we cut it... That I would change lol

  11. I was SO determined to eat at my wedding, and when the time came I couldn't force the food down! People were constantly walking up and saying congratulations and asking to take pictures, and my emotions were running so high that the last thing I wanted to do was sit there and eat. I think I got maybe five bites all together. But I didn't even mind :)

  12. For our wedding in December we're doing a buffet style dinner and our caterer has come up with a way to make sure we get a chance to eat. They are going to serve the two of us, and only us. Then invite our bridal party and family tables up to the buffet. That way, the only people up and about are people who've been with us the whole day and don't need to chat. Granted we might only get 5 or 10 minutes before other people are coming up but this way we can at least eat something!

I thought it was a great idea so I thought I'd share.

  15. So... here's what you do. Get a plate, sit down and eat it. Guests will come to you. That's what we did and I'm so glad I got to try my own wedding dinner! ;)

  16. I was so excited for our wedding food, too! But I just had NO appetite at the wedding (or even when I work weddings a photographer). I guess it's all that go-go-going that just decreases my appetite.

Fortunately, we had left overs so I got eat all the delciious food after the wedding -- and since it was after the wedding day, I didn't care if I had two leftover cupcakes in a day!
