Editing Photos...

ok...so I have a problem.

as if it isnt weird enough taking photos of what I wear.

I need to find a better spot to take the photos.

For instance...take this weekend's outfit.

If I didn't edit the photos you saw yesterday...this is what you would get!

 Before editing...
you cant even really see my shoes!

After editing...
thats a little better...

It does discolor the clothing but I want to give you ladies clear photos!

We have an awesome camera and I feel like we are not taking advantage of it!

I need to do some research...play around with the camera settings and play around with different areas in the yard haha. Ok...Im not a weirdo or anything!

Do you ladies have any tips?!?!

Let's just say...Eric and I will be tryng to find a new spot to pose! He is such a trooper...haha!

  2. When I got my new camera, I got online and sorted through different blogs for intros into photography, what lenses work best for blog/lifestyle use and starting just playing around until I found what worked for me.

This blog has some great starter tips for using your camera off 'auto'. It really does make all the difference in the world!

  3. Is there another time of day you can take it? As a photographer, I always try to get sessions in early in the morning, or, more preferably, right after dinner/before sunset. That's when lighting is the best. It looks like you have a roof or awning or something that is shadowing, so, standing somewhere in direct sunlight will help, too...but that's when you want to make sure it's the right time of day. The ISO on your camera, you want it to be at the lowest setting possible, and your f/stop settings are what you want to change (the higher the number, the less light it lets in).

It can be overwhelming, but really, it's a matter of the time of day and location of where you're standing. Hope that helps!
