Motivate Me Monday! Eating healthy!

It's time for some
Motivate Me Monday!
So this past week I've been reading alot about organic and raw eating and clean eating. I'm not sure If I could totally commit to that. I love meat. But I could definitely incorporate more veggies and organic items into my diet.
Have any of you ever done the raw eating?
Or even clean eating or all organic items?
A Whole Foods Market is being built a couple minutes away and I'm a little anxious for it to open.
We already eat fairly healthy. and I haven't baked for us in a while (except for this past weekend) but I found some recipes I'd like to make that are "raw". Made with all organic items like pecans and agave nectar (like THIS one).

I just don't want to eat any more processed food. I'm working so hard at crossfit...I don't want to ruin that hard work!

So now for a little motivation...
Let's get this week started shall we?!?!

  1. I eat as clean as I can without going broke. I find that trying to eat clean can be costly but at the same time I know it is the best for me. I have to say that since I have started to eat clean I feel a whole heck of a lot better!

  2. I couldn't figure out how to comment on your giveaway post, so I'll do it here (sorry!). I LOVE to wear pink! Especially my Old Navy pink skinny jeans :)

  3. My brothers are raw-foodist's so I've been introduced to a ton of new recipes. I think it's good to incorporate raw food into your diet regularly, but I couldn't do it all the time. It's pricey. I've tried raw ice cream, butters, cheesecake (yes, cheescake!), taco's, burgers..the list is endless!! Oh, and here in KC we have an awesome raw food restaurant that "cooks" up some great dishes!

  4. Hi Amanda! This is my first time doing Motivate Me Monday. I've been following your blog for a couple weeks now and love it. :-)

I've never done organic or raw foods. Like a few other people have said, it's really expensive (also with living in Canada, so many things aren't even grown here, so they're pricey just because of that). I'm on a super tight budget, so sometimes it's hard enough just to buy food, let alone food that costs three times as much as 'normal' food. I have been incorporating way more fruits and veggies into my diet, and I'd love to be able to get organic ones eventually. For now, I figure at least I'm making steps toward a healthier life, even if it's not the 'ideal' steps (organic), you know? And I don't think I could ever go full vegetarian, but I'm attempting to do at least one meatless meal each week to cut back on fat and cholesterol and additives, then if I can find some recipes I like, up it to two or more days a week. Maybe I could spend my 'meat' money on organic veggies then! ;-)

  5. I love motivate monday! Defiantly is a great way to push through the week... I have been doing a fitness challenge since the new year and have been keeping record of my journey! check it out sometime!

  6. I eat pretty healthy... but i have a weakness for sweets. I try going Raw when possible and living out my life as a balance... always more veggies then anything else!

  7. God I need more motivation & get to the gym! These pictures are very inspiring!!!

I'm having a fun neon accessories giveaway on my blog!

  8. Found your blog today via Megan! Just did my first crossfit workout this morning!!! I'm not sure I will be able to walk tonight but I am so excited to continue on!! I doubt that I'll ever give up meat, but we only eat grass fed organic. (My husband & friend went today to pick up 800# of beef lol) We've done well at cutting out processed crap and I think crossfit will give me the extra push to get rid of it all! Excited to see your journey!

I love to hear whats on your mind! I read every comment and it makes my day!!
