For Love of a Cupcake
Today's Challenge/Topic is :
(as stated in last weeks post HERE)
There is no real challenger per say...
We just want YOU to share anything health or fitness related! ANYTHING you want to share...whether it be fun facts or about yourself!

OK! So I only made it to the gym once BUT I had the WORST SORE THROAT ever. It actually still hurts but seems like its getting better. I had planned to go to the gym this morning...but woke up all stuffy.
I need to buy the shirt below! SERIOUSLY...I just need to suck it up sometimes!

So I try to eat 5 small meals a day and normally DO.
I usually prepare my meals the night before. I cook one big meal and it lasts for all of my meals the next day. I know some of you are super duper busy with families so I found this healthy snacking guide :-) BUT if you do eat these snacks...remember don't eat too much at one sitting. Moderation is the key!

Referring to the above guide.
Also...have you ever tried low fat vanilla yogurt with grapes? SO GOOD!!
Or cottage cheese with pineapples?? EVEN BETTER!!
Have you ever tried freezing grapes? and eating them frozen?! YUMO!
I will also snack on low fat graham crackers...those are our go to "bad" snack at the house. I don't normally buy junk food.

Some more healthy snacks..

I seriously swear by this next quote...

So as you can see...I normally try to watch what I eat but that doesnt always happen. I have the biggest sweet tooth I mentioned before. And sad to say that I had been eating quite a bit of sweets.

So this past week...I went 5 days WITHOUT SWEETS!! I thought it would be hard. But YOU KNOW WHAT? I ate breakfast ever morning and I didn't crave any sweets! For breakfast...I ate one piece of toast and a third cup of egg whites!

See...breakfast really is important!

So...that's all I've got for you today.

We want to challenge your strength! How many PUSH UPS can you do at one time. Do this at least three times during the week and tell us your highest number!!

If you are not sure how to work out a particular muscle group...please email me and I would be happy to help you! Then you can tell me next week how it worked for you!

Now let's link up...

Now grab the button and visit my co-hosts Ashley and Whitney!

If you have any ideas for challenges...or something you would like to bring us and let us know! Tell us your weaknesses and strengths for the week in each MMM post.

Have a wonderful day!!

  1. Those two posts with snack ideas are just what I needed. I need to be more creative so it's not always the same thing. And I truly could NOT agree anymore with your last quote. I always knew it was true, but I hadn't seen any results until this year. I have been doing the smaller meals throughout the day lately and just eating better in general, and I love it. Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm so glad I found your blog.

    Happy Monday!

  2. Um push ups I can do 12 (girl style) then I shake and can't make it backup once I go down after that LOL Upper body strength in the tricep area is something I have been trying to work hard on lately!

  3. This is what I needed! I have no motivation.

  4. Awesome post! Very motivating....I too, always have a sweet tooth it seems. Props to you for going 5 days with NO sweets....especially over the weekend! I am sure your body is feeling better than ever :) It's amazing what just a few days will do!

  5. Zero motivation over here, too. :/
And sadly, I don't care enough to do something about it right now.
I just want to be lazy today. Lol.

    Thanks for the motivation, dearie.
I should probably get up and do some exercising.
By the way, LOVE frozen grapes.

  6. so im reading this post as i was lying in bed trying to come up with excuses why i didn't want to run this morning, too cold, still getting over sickness and then bam! your post was dead on don't make excuses just go so i did :-)

  7. I have no motivation either! But I do love that smart snacking pin. I need to print that out & actually use it!

  8. Hi there, I am your newest GFC follower from the hop, stopping by from Couponing From Florida to Michigan. I would love a follow back.

    Happy Monday

    You really are very inspiring!

  9. I love hummus! Yum :) Love the snacking guide.

My health tips would just be to turn every day activities into an exercise. Park far away from the building. Take the stairs..and walk up and down them a few times. Do squats whenever the opportunity arrises. Clean over and over again. Going out for drinks? Dance some of it off. You get the idea.

  10. Ahh. I need to be better about eating and working out!

  11. I really need to get on the eating better band wagon. Seriously I love to go to the gym and exercise but I need to eat better. So hard for me. Thanks for the snack ideas and the motivation.

    A mommy's life...with a touch of YELLOW

  12. I totes love hummus! It's soooo delicious. I had a co-worker who brought in homemade hummus and we ended up eating it all day long.
