Today's Challenge/Topic is :
(as stated in last weeks post HERE)
How many PUSH UPS can you do at one time. Do this at least three times during the week and tell us your highest number!!
OK...So I was seriously SICK ALL WEEK (I even lost my voice at one pont!)!! Finally on Saturday I was feeling better.
On Saturday...I did 25 push-ups! and on Sunday I did 32!!!
So...I have to admit...I have "man" arms lol! I think it's just my genetics and I've always been like. When I really hit the gym and work out my arms...they are easy to tone.
Anyways...I do actually have three different types of push-ups that I do. I normally do 5 push ups of each for 3 sets! If you do this once or twice a week...you will defnitely see toned arms...maybe not "man" arms like mine lol but you will def notice a difference!!
The regular push up.

The regular push up.
The pyramid/triangle push up.
(this works more of your triceps!
put your hands together to form a triangle)

The pike push up.
(this actually works your shoulders and triceps!)
It feels kind of awkward the first time you do it but just go with it!

Now for a little motivation...
As I have said before...it's a lifestyle.
I may not go to the gym as much as I should be lately but I am still eating pretty healthy. I seriously have a love/hate relationship with the gym. Or maybe it's a love/hate relationship with 4:30 am hahaha!
I really hope you ladies join in on the motivation! Tell us your story, your weekly challenges or your weekly accomplishments...even if you don't participate in the challenges!!
NEXT WEEK'S CHALLENGE/TOPIC:
We challenge you to not over eat christmas snacks!
And share a healthy christmas recipe treat.
Do you have any ideas for one of our challenges??
let me know! forloveofacupcake@gmail.com
Have a wonderful day!!
Manda
I love this idea. Last night I did 100 sit ups! Lol, I hate exercising! My challenge I gave myself this week is to drink more water. I usually only have 2 glasses a day, but I'm going to start with 32oz today and then make my way up the rest of the week to 64oz a day which is how much you're supposed to drink in a day!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so bad at push ups! I feel like I always wimp out on them, push ups are something I need to do more of!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful monday!
I can do about 10 pushups and that's it. AHHH!
ReplyDeletehey girl! great job:) sorry you are not feeling well...such a bummer. i hope this week gets better for ya!!! xoxo

I love this!! I'm accepting the challenge. What a wonderful way to stay motivated. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, push ups are not for me! I'm not even sure that I could do one. My arms work out consists of a water bottle routine. :P
ReplyDeleteLove your post and I love all three of those pushups too. I was a gymnast for ten years so I know what you mean about man arms haha
ReplyDeleteI'll take a body like that girls, please! :o) Sadly, my only chance at looking like that would involve plastic surgery.
ReplyDeleteI'm a runner, so I don't focus on my arms as much, but I'm positive I'd only make it through about 5 push ups before I'd expire right there on the floor. ;o)
Hahahaha I had man arms until I had my baby! I used to do more pull-ups and push-ups than a lot of my guy friends. Now... not so much :) haha :)
