Gift Guides: His & Hers Plus White Elephant

So these are our gift guides to each other this year!

For the ladies...especially bloggers...I'm sure a lot of you already have these items. BUT I do not...so these are a big want for me!

For Her:
Naked Eyeshadow by Urban Decay - I've seen reviews about this eyeshadow over the years and recently watched Jessie James Decker's makeup tutorial and thought I would give it a try!

Cross Body Purse - Since having Rea...I hate carrying around a big purse plus her diaper bag. I think a small cross body will be perfect!

Monogram Necklace - Monogram and gold. Need I say more?!

Converse - I have loved these for forever. I used to have a black pair but i think white will go with so much more and will become a staple in my wardrobe.

Bobbi Brown Bronzer - I LOVE bronzer and think it's about time to try a good brand!

.......................................................

For Him:
Yeti Coffee Mug - Eric loves a good travel mug especially when hunting!

A Good Craft Beer - lately Eric has been loving some craft beers and thought I would give this one a try. It's rated very well on the list of great craft beers!

Pajama/Lounge Pants - Eric loves him some comfy lounge pants! I saw these at H&M and they are super soft!

Tub of Protein - seriously...as much as he works out and drinks protein shakes....this is a no-brainer!

House Shoes - these house shoes by Ugg are seriously super soft inside! And have a decent sole so he can wear them while taking out the trash heehee!

.................................................

I usually stick with items that I think could be fun or interesting and that people could possibly use!

Mason Jar Cookie Jar
Wooden Spice Box
Mozzarella Cheese Making Kit
Beverage Cubes

Insulated Tote w/ Blanket

Have a great day!

Oh Christmas Tree

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree..

Ladies...it's been in the 80s lately and we even had to chop down our tree a week ago in 80 degree weather. It just hasn't felt like Christmas or even December.

When we chopped down our tree we brought it home and put it up in the stand.

It was sitting like this for a whole week!!!!

Finally this weekend, we decorated the tree and put up our Christmas decor. I just haven't felt in the mood I guess because it just doesn't feel like Christmas...I will say tho I am finally in the Christmas spirit now that we have everything decorated!

I thought it was funny Tank was in the photo again so I didnt crop him out haha.

And then it threw up snowmen! haha...this isn't even all of them!!

Did you know that Eric is in love with Snowmen and every year we MUST watch Frosty the Snowman when it airs on tv??!!

Welp...that's all for today ladies!!!

Had A Merry Christmas!

Oh Ladies! It has been really hard getting up these past couple days to go to work...after having a 5 day weekend/holiday!

And we BARELY took any photos! (super sad face). My soon to be sis n law has a photo of E and I that I really want. It's the only one we took of us together this year!!

Luckily....E bought me an awesome camera for Christmas!!

And we got some much needed rest...well Chloe did at least!!!

And then she played with all of her Christmas toys!

And here is ONE photo E took with his Iphone of me and my cutie pie niece Addie.

Not sure if you remember when I found this Red Velvet Hot Cocoa Recipe on Pinterest HERE?!

Well we made some! It was SOOOOOOO good and I highly recommend making it!! Ours didn't turn out as pretty BUT still good!

I'm gonna link this to Oh How Pintersting Wednesday over at The Vintage Apple!

That's all I have for today ladies! Just too tired!! I'll have some good recipes for you later this week!

Weekend Recap!

Happy Tuesday!

We had an Ok weekend. E was sick midweek and I had a sore throat all week! I'm still just getting over it (stayed home from work yesterday).

So...just to let everyone know! I have the following accounts!

Twitter: @cupcakestyle101
Instagram: forloveofacupcake
FourSquare: Amanda Cathey (forloveofacupcake@gmail.com)

I was runnging a lot of errands this weekend :-) with foursquare you can check in everywhere and gain points! Maybe I'm going a little app crazy haha!
This was what My Saturday looked like BUT left my phone at home when we ate lunch at Genghis Grill! We actually went INSIDE to eat. We have never done this...only gotten take out!

As you can see...I was all over the place!

So...without further ado...here is our weekend in photos! (and sorry to all my Instagram buddies...you've already seen these!)

I found E trying on his new hunting gear lol!
He goes duck hunting this coming weekend!

Here is our yummy carrot cake I picked up Saturday.
Of course...after our steak and wine. :-)

And photos of Chloe!

We took a photo with our crappy camera...to hopefully use for a Christmas card this year! Click HERE to view our family photo last year!

We had the hardest time trying to get chloe to look at the camera! We would throw her toy at the last second towards the camera but she wasn't having it! This was the last photo we took (we had enough!) and luckily she glanced at the camera just in time!

I have a crazy question! This photo was taken of me on my "bad side". I prefer taking photos on the other side (when the right side of my face is facing the camera)...I just think they turn out better. (luckily this one turned out good!) The good thing...is that E's good side and my good side are opposite sides!

Do you have a particular side you like to face the camera?!
Or...you can just tell me how crazy I am haha!

We chopped down our Christmas Tree! I will not kill it this year!

Hi Ladies!!!
Don't forget to enter the Simply Posh by Mel giveaaway for 6 yummy cake pops! Click HERE to enter! It ends tomorrow at noon!

So on Sunday...we chopped down our Christmas tree
and decorated the house with Christmas decor!!

Click HERE to read my post on Sunday about a blonde moment with our tree from last year! Last year was our very first tree together!

This is what I wore to watch E chop down the tree on Sunday!
(one of my Black Friday shirts from Express...
with a gifted scarf from a couple years ago, my Rock Revival jeans and my riding boots from DSW with a little dash of Chloe on the side!!)

So here are a few photos at Dewberry Farm!
Kinda look the same as last year!

Please excuse my hair! it was extremely windy!!!!!
plus you already know I have flyaways...read more about those HERE!

E chopping down the tree!

The Dewberry farm signs, the tractor hay ride to the Christmnas trees and we finally reach the Christmas trees!

Once we got home we decorated! The tree is DEF not as big around as last years but it's still 8 1/2 feet tall! The bow on top is humongous!

Where do yall buy tree toppers? I can never find any that I absolutely love!

Putting the tree topper on, stockings are hung, E's cookie jar (he loves snowmen!), and just some other snowmen around the house!

Now if you read Sunday's post...you know that I killed the tree last year. That WILL NOT happen this year! lol

Have you ladies put up your Christmas trees yet and what are your favorite Christmas decorations...we love snowmen? I loved hearing your stories of getting a real or fake tree in Sunday's post!

Chopping down our Christmas tree today! and a funny story about last year's tree!

Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Unfortunately...for some reason...we didnt take ANY photos on Thanksgiving.
As you know...we hosted it at our house this year...and after everyone left...we were seriously pooped! And so was Chloe...obviously lol!

We are off to chop down our Christmas tree today!
And then decorate the house with Christmas decor!

So fun!!

Let me start off with some photos from last Christmas and tell you a quick story! And of course a blonde moment...

This is our HUMONGOUS Christmas tree from last year!
This poor tree never stood a chance. Within two weeks it was dead and I really couldn't figure out why. Until E asked...if I had been watering it. That was my only job (because it was my idea to chop down a real tree)! To water the tree every day. I even left out a pitcher to fill with water. THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN THIS YEAR! I PROMISE!
Needless to say...within a couple of weeks we had to put up the fake tree.

This is E cutting it down...Such a lumberjack lol!

And me putting the star on top of the tree! (barely able to reach it!)

Our first Christmas photo together! (can you tell that the tree in the photo is a ton smaller than the tree that I'm putting the star on?)

I bought this ornament to remember our first tree!

Do you put up a real or fake tree? And have you ever killed your real tree??!
