Rea - 4 Months Old & the Secret to Traveling with Her

 

 

Rea is growing too too fast. She was actually 4 months on Monday!

So on Monday...I mentioned we would be traveling with Rea to Austin to visit my mom for my birthday.

This trip will be super easy with two of us but About a month ago I traveled to Austin to visit my mom (Grami & Papi) by myself. It's about a 3.5 hour trip from Houston (I think...I can't remember haha).

Eric was out of town on a business trip to New York (lucky butt).

I was pretty nervous and fully prepared to stop or turn around if I needed to! 

Well what do you know...she was a fantastic little travel mate.

The secret?!?! 

 

1. Keep about 5 pacifiers in front with you at all times.

 

2. Make sure your arm is long enough to reach the baby.

(Maybe do some arm stretches the week before to make it longer?) haha

 

3. Place a baby mirror in front of her car seat (attached to the backseat headrest) so you can see her at all times.

 

4. Anytime you can't find current paci...give her one from your stash!

Not sure if it's the safest but I did keep my eyes on the road...just reached my hand back to her :-/

Currently Coveting

So my current wish lists and wants are more functional and casual lately since I'm home or running errands most of the time. 

Old Navy Shirt - Loving me some plaid shirts and Old Navy has a slew of them for a great price!

H&M Jeans - I've fallen in love with H&M jeans lately. Since I'm still losing weight continuously (almost back to normal!) I have to buy clothes that fit at the moment and H&M has great quality and are super affordable!

Blowfish Shoes - And who doesn't love Blowfish shoes?! If you've never tried....buy you some!

Crazy...I know. Now I am obsessed.

So you guys...I do actually have a post in mind BUT I can't help but tell you how much I love Miss Chic and Blowfish Shoes right now.

First of all the boots...I will be wearing these all fall and winter long! I can't wait to pair them with some tights so be on the look out lol!

I haven'y really told many of you...but last Thursday was my last day at my old job. I'd been there for 6 years! It def gave me some good experience but now I am moving on to bigger and better things! I've taken a job offer that I can't pass up...better pay and bigger better company!

New house.

New job.

New (soon to be) marriage.

Lots of life changes are going on right now!

This week...I actually have the whole week off! I'm sure I will still be pretty darn busy tho!

Sometimes I'm not gonna wear the exact same thing because it's not me...but I get ideas or incorporate a little piece of what they wore and make it my own.

When I first started blogging.

I remember reading a post...

In this post...someome used to call themselves a jeans and t-shirt kinda gal. UNTIL they discovered their own style. And that jeans and t-shirt wasn't really a style. Or something of the sort :-/ I honestly don't remember if that's correct or not.

I thought to myself. WHATEVER! I'm a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl.

I have always thought of myself that way.

Until I met you ladies!

You inspire me daily!

And it is helping me find my own personal style!
Which I think is comfy casual lol. Is that a style? 

I am no longer a jeans and t-shirt kinda gal. Okay...don't get me wrong...I do LOvE my jeans and t-shirt...but my wardrobe has expanded!!

I'm wearing things I never thought I could pull off. You just have to OWN it.

And when I say that...I mean...feel confident in what you are wearing!

Oh skinny jeans...it's a love/hate.

I am seriously jealous of everyone wearing skinny jeans!!

I have tried on numerous amounts from different stores and have yet to find a pair! I should really take a photo of myself in them...because I look ridiculous!

It's most definitely the way I'm built.

I have a muscular build.

It has to be! Next time I try on a pair...I will take a photo!

I have tried on sizes too big...sizes too small...sizes that should fit but don't!

It just doesn't look right!
Sometimes...I feel like they are spandex?

Does anyone else have this stinkin' problem?

Or am I just a crazy person?!

I need to find a pair that is tapered just right...a pair that is skinny but not too skinny...ya feel me?

It's OK...

...to completely brag about your photographer! We had an awesome engagement photo shoot yesterday and can't wait to see the pictures! Both E and I hate taking photos and he was awesome to work with! If you live in the Houston area...def check out Allure Photography!

...that I absolutely love this watch! But will hold off on getting it (or something like it...maybe an all rose color or white??!!!) My birthday is coming up in a few weeks. I will be 30!!!!! eek!!!

...to have only worked out once this week. BUT I cannot even tell you how busy I was!! LOTS of orders to complete along with engagement photos!

...that I didn't get a chance to reply back to all the awesome comments on yesterday's post. I will today!! I adore all of you ladies!!

...that I actually plan out meals for the week and put the calendar on the fridge!!! it seriously helps me out! I've only been doing it for a month...but wow! You should try it lol!
