A Letterman?

Hey ladies!

Woot woot for Friday!

So when we were moving last weekend...I came across mine and Eric's old high school letterman jackets lol! We did not go to the same high school and he is 5 years older than me.

Eric was a stud lol! His jacket was full of patches!!

 

Mine was filled with patches for track. And did I seriously get 'speed demon' put on the back?! Oh goodness.

 

Funny story...

I did like 5 events for each track meet. I would get so nervous before each race (especially the 300 hurdles) that I would get sick! But then I'd race and win lol! I would win until my sis Rachel came to high school...then we would race to beat each other lol!

Anyways...I just thought it would be fun for y'all to see some of your past. Maybe I can dig up old high school pics one day. :)

Hopefully our kids will be just as athletic! Heehee!

the happenings lately via Instagram...

1. moving stinks...thats all...

2.chloe went for a ride while I ran some errands. drive thru dry cleaning and drive thru dessert!

3.I was trying to take a photo of the long piece of drool hanging from Tank's mouth but you can't see it.

4. something has seriously spooked tank in our new backyard and he doesn't want to come outside.

4. this was a lazy Sunday...(for a while anyway...until we started unpacking more)

A Great Weekend...

E and I had a great weekend celebrating his birthday!

We had our usual Friday take out from Genghis Grill and wine (plus a little dessert)!

Saturday night we dressed up and went to Pappa Bros Steakhouse!

And Sunday went to see The Avengers in XD 3D! Awesome movie!!!

I NEVER take naps on the weekend...so I guess E felt it was necesasry to take a photo. At least my mouth wasn't wide open!! However my arm did hurt...it was in a twisted position.

I love Clo Clo's hair at this length! She is such a smarty pants...it kills me!

 

 

We had a great weekend!

We are celebrating next weekend with our moms...plus taking them to the cake tasting!!

Our 3rd Date Story!

So I'm sure if I've really told you guys that I love food!

Well, Eric I and went to Cheddars for our third date. It had just opened and I'd never been there. It's good old country cookin'!

I order a chicken fried steak!

mmm...mmm...mmm

(I couldn't wait to chomp down on that!)

Eric...being the healthy eater he is...orders fish and veggies.

I know what you're thinking...fish and veggies??? YES!

I think at some point when we first got the food I offer him a bite to try...and he says no.

I'm like ok...so I eat the whole thing!

(mind you...these chicken fried steaks are bigger than the plate!)

I'm not a salad picking kinda gal...I love my food!!

Eric said he went to ask me for a bite towards the end of dinner and it was gone!

I think he was shocked!

 

Now...he likes to tell everyone that I scarfed it down and never offered a bite! He says he went to ask for a bite and it was gone!

You snooze...you lose buddy!

Why is everyone Flashing us?! plus...Pinteresting!

So as you know it was a 20 hour drive just to get Tank. (I nicknamed him...Tankers)

We rented a Ford Edge because my car is too small to hold a cage and Eric's truck is too jacked up and bumpy!

Oh boy...I fell in love with the heated seats! I had it on the whole way haha!!

Well we leave Houston, TX and get on the freeway...within 5 minutes a BMW gets behind us and flashes their lights. We were figured they were flashing us to get out of their way.

Halfway to Dallas...we pass a cop that has pulled someone over and he gives us the craziest look.

And one other time...someone gets behind us and flashes us again. Why are people being so rude??!

I think it was in between Dallas and Sherman TX (near Oklahoma) that we got pulled over by a cop.

We didn't have our headlights on the whole way! Which was about 5 hours driving in the dark with just our day lights running. I guess the raods were well lit lol!

The cop was cool and just gave us a warning.

Have you ever done anything crazy like that?!?!

Oh..and an update on Clo Clo and Tankers.

They actually ran around outside last night and played together!!

MMM...E and I met at the gym!

ok...so this is sorta fitness related!


Did you know that E and I met at the gym?!?!


Well...we did!
...and I want to tell you the story!
Here goes...


I buy a membership to 24 Hour Fitness a couple days after the new year in 2009.
Being fit was my new years resolution!


After going a few times...of course I noticed E in the gym...he's the biggest guy there lol! But I'm so quiet and shy...of course I'm not going to just go up to a hott guy and start up a convo!


A couple months go by...and we are in the ab section...


I say..."are you using this machine?"
He says..."No."


And that was it!!


Seriously?

Maybe a few days later...he gets on the stair steppers by me. Doesn't say one word to me! He does drop something (some kind of band for working out). Later on as we are dating...I find out he was trying to get my attention by flicking it at me!! OK...back to the story.


A week or so later...we are on the stair steppers again. He gets on the one next to me. I'm pretty sure there were others open!


Anyways...he turns a little towards me and says...
"It's hot in here today."


I'm thinking...Umm of course it's hot! We are working out in the gym haha!
But of course I talk back and we chat for a minute! YAY!


A few days go by...we are in the ab section again!
(ok...maybe I went over there just because he was over there hee hee).


We start up another convo...and I find out he is a software engineer? This big guy? Really? He's a computer dork??!! haha!!


And after a few more weeks we have a first date!! It was a little awkward since we are both shy and quiet. But we got over it...and now he says I never stop talking! lol.

But that's our story (the short version)! I only thought it was fitting to tell you on MMM since we actually met at the gym!

Weekend recap!

Weekend Recap!

We had such a busy weekend! I was off Friday... So I had a long weekend....but it def didn't feel like it! IT FLEW BY!!

Thursday night...we had dinner with friends and the girls did a gift exchange!

Friday during the day... I went Christmas shopping for all the nephews and niece AND found a few items for myself and E! I was sooooooo pooped!!!

Like...what kid wouldn't want a cotton candy machine?!?!

Although I think my sister is gonna kill me haha!

And do y'all remember when we were kids (now keep in mind I'm 30 lol)...freeze dried astronaut food? Or am I the only dorky one that thought it was cool?!?! I even had a science kit and did ALL of the experiments!

Friday night...E and I went to Eddie V's. A steak and seafood restaurant...and I have to say this was the best food I've had in a long time! We had dessert...and it WASN'T chocolate! We ordered the BANANA FOSTER'S CAKE!! When they brought it out to us...they set it on the table and LIT IT ON FIRE!! To caramelize the bananas! WOW!!! I was so amazed at how awesome this tasted!!

But before Eddie V's...we made a stop at Cavendar's Boot! I found a pair of boots I liked but they didn't have my size. Eric found these awesome boots!

SUPER SNAZZY! (and yes...I thought I would try them on haha!)

Saturday morning I woke up super early to go Christmas shopping again...I had a late start Friday. And again I was soooo pooped!

Bunches of clothes for all the kids!

Wrapping gifts!

(and trust me when I say...I am no Martha Stewart at wrapping!)

Saturday night we ate Mexican food at Cyclone Anaya's! And then hopped on over to The Yardhouse for some drinks!

Here is a pic from that night! I'm wearing a cute scarf I found at Urban Outfitters and E is wearing a beanie from Express (some of the gifts for ourselves lol)!

The weekend was busy BUT I had such a good time with E. As I've said before...we are such homebodies...not sure what got into us this weekend but we needed it!

I went grocery shopping on Sunday and ran a few last minute errands. I had to wear my skull socks since we hadn't done laundry in a while! When I got home...E had stopped at Lo Cal's to get some lunch (our fav healthy joint). I got a buffalo hot dog! 

And I think that's our weekend in a nutshell!

Do you ever have to wear crazy socks because you're putting off laundry? lol!

Oh How Pinteresting! Plus a get to know me!

Oh Wednesday...you are here...so we are halfway thru the week!

So who are A & E?

Let's put it this way...When we have kids...They will be extremely clumsy and be a bull in a china cabinet! Yes...I am super duper clumsy and no matter what E does...he always seems to be dropping or breaking things!

If I'm at home watching TV...it's on the ID Channel (Investigation Discovery)! If E is watching TV...it's sports all the way!

We are creatures of habit! We get Genghis grill every Friday to go. They know me by name! And they know my voice on the phone when I call in the order!

We are homebodies!

We drink hot chocolate every night in the winter months! It's more like we have marshmallows with a side of hot chocolate!

We both love Chloe (aka Clo Clo) the Cockapoo!

But I get a little jealous...I think Clo loves E more than me lol!

We drink Starbucks every morning! We drink American Mistos because they are least in fat and sugar! Eric's Starbucks calls his drink the High Maintence drink haha!

Now on to Oh How Pinteresting!

So ladies...E is getting a pair of cowboy boots and I have been debating whether I should or not!  To be honest...I wonder how often I would wear them?!?! I found a couple of pairs I like.

 My favorite one is on the left but I do like the right one as well.

Weekend Recap!

Happy Tuesday!!!

(Just being silly!)

So...I was by myself the whole weekend!

I slept in and lounged around the house until noon every day!!
Actually made myself some eggs over easy!!
I'm not a big scrambled egg person...

E was duck hunting in South Texas with his buddies!

His beard is growing in thick! And I like it!!

Anyways! After I finally took a shower on Saturday...I made my nephew cupcakes for his first birthday! (well...soon to be nephew!)

Then I had to go shopping for him! His mom said he needed some jeans so I went to Old Navy and found some cute stuff!

Do you like my cupcake apron?!?!

And of course Chloe lounged around as well...you know I can't have a weekend recap without Clo Clo!!



So this week there will be lots going on! Not only will you have my awesome posts to read (yeah that's right...you know they're awesome!)...in the afternoons...I will be featuring all of my button swap ladies! And don't forget to check out the three ladies at the top left hand side of the page!

Do you guys ever just need a weekend to lounge around the house like I did this past weekend?
