Did y'all know that Tank is a Bullmastiff?

There has been some mixing up with him being a Boxer!

I can def see why he gets called a boxer...they are pretty similar.

Did you know that Tank will end up weighing about 130 lbs?

He is only 75 right now (as of last Sunday)! Eek!

so here was Tank when we first got him! you can read {this} post too!

and Tank now...lol.
(ok well this was at 5 months and now he is 7 but I just like this photo of him!)

As you can see...the bullmastiff is thicker and has quite a bit more wrinkles in the face!!
I'm no dog expert....that's just my opinon!

Tank is gonna be a big boy!

the happenings lately via Instagram...

1. moving stinks...thats all...

2.chloe went for a ride while I ran some errands. drive thru dry cleaning and drive thru dessert!

3.I was trying to take a photo of the long piece of drool hanging from Tank's mouth but you can't see it.

4. something has seriously spooked tank in our new backyard and he doesn't want to come outside.

4. this was a lazy Sunday...(for a while anyway...until we started unpacking more)

For the Pups! A Recipe! (plus a winner!)

Want to make your pups happy with some homemade treats?!

These are so easy!

Original recipe found here.

Ingredients:

1 cup organic whole wheat flour*

1/4 cup oats/oatmeal

1/4 unsweetened shredded coconut

1/2 Tbls baking powder

1/2 cup creamy organic peanut butter

1/2 cup milk

1 Tbls olive oil

1 Tbls applesauce

*(always use whole wheat for dogs b/c they can be allergic to regular)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350.

Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl (I did not have coconut and the recipe worked just fine).

Then, add all wet ingredients and mix on low speed until combined.

Roll out the dough on wax paper until 1/2 inch thick. Use any small cookie cutter to cut out your treats!

Place on unlined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Store in air tight container!

Your pups are gonna love you!

We get Tank in a few weeks!
Not sure on the exact date yet...because he is currently in Missouri! But hopefully the weekend of the 18th!

This is Tank the Bullmastiff!

We are getting Tank from a wonderful breeder {HERE}!

So I have a question for all of you dog owners...with two or more dogs...

We are worried about Chloe and how she will react (I don't mean aggressively). She is obviously spoiled and is our little baby!  (Even tho she is almost 4 years old!)

What did you do to make your older dog feel like he or she wasn't being replaced?

I want to make sure Chloe still gets her special attention and of course give Tank plenty of special attention.

Funny fact about Chloe: when we have kids at our house and I'm paying more attention to them...she will sit on the floor or in a chair and pout! She's not aggressive at all...just pouts!

some sad news...NO Tank :-(

Oh Tuesday! ...why can't you be Thursday (or even Friday!)?!

I'll save the bad news for last...

anyways...

Here's a little recap of the weekend.
On Friday night...we watched

'The Rise of Planet of the Apes'.

I have to say...it was really good! It kinda started to get weird but I think overall it was good!

2. We woke up on Sunday and got donuts! Apple Fritters are my fav!

I think we finally decided on a 'save the date' last night!!

I prob won't buy them until the end of the week...I'm not sure where I put our guest list!! oopsie! so we need to make another.

and now for the not so good news...

Remember last week...Tank was suppose to be born on Tuesday.

Eric and I were so bummed last night. We finally heard from the bullmastiff breeder.

Well...all of the puppies were born healthy.

 The litter had 1 boy and all the rest were girls.

We cannot get Tank. The breeder is actually keeping ALL of the pups.
This was a serious and reputible breeder that goes to dog shows and they decided to use them all for show. (this is normal with high end breeders)They are sending our deposit back.

Sooooo.....
We are on the search again for a bullmastiff pup. We love the name Tank but for some reason it doesn't feel right to name another pup Tank! I know...I'm crazy! But if you know of a reputible bullmastiff breeder...please let me know!

It's OK Thursday! A Sock Fight?

So remember last Thursday I posted all about my wardrobe malfunctions {HERE}?

Well...it was all good this week!

It's OK...

...that E and I actually had a sock fight. Now let me explain! We were folding laundry and E plops a sock ball at me! So I chunk a sock ball at him! hee hee. Reminds me of the scene in Hitch with Will Smith where they have a salad fight!

...that my brain is not working right now and I've been sitting here for 5 minutes with a blank stare haha!

...that we are anxiously awaiting the breeder to email us saying that "Tank was born"! He was suppose to be born on the 17th!!

This is what he will look like as puppy...

...that when we get Tank in March...he will be the same size  as Chloe! And will prob weigh more than me!

...that y'all will be bombarded with puppy photos! (can you tell we are so excited!!)

On my mind Tuesday!

Is it seriously only Tuesday?!?! I feel like I've done a weeks worth of work already!!

I have quite a bit on my mind today!

Let's start with a little from my weekend. As I mentioned last week... Eric and I were going to a Halloween party Saturday. We dressed up as Lady Thor and the Incredible Hulk! It was fun getting E ready! We... I mean... I airbrushed green body paint onto Eric! It was actually pretty easy. Then we cut his wig and airbrushed that as well! And then we frayed and cut his jeans and shirt. 
Can You pick out the Real Hulk and E? We did a good job huh!

What's new in my closet????!!!! My new riding boots!! Love these!!! They will probably make an appearance in our engagement photos we take tomorrow!

Speaking of engagement photos! We wanted a "save the date" sign and I found one at Our Hobby to Your Home. WOW! I loved the photos on the website but in person it really is very nice!!

I also want to say THANK YOU to all the ladies that participated and linked up with us yesterday for "Motivate Me Monday"!! Don't forget to try a new healthy recipe this week so you can share it with next weeks link up! And share anything else you want...like what you accomplished for that week or what was challenging! Oh yeah!!!!!!! We are getting a new bullmastiff puppy!!! He is not even in the mommy's belly yet but soon to be! The pups will be born in January so the new addition to the fam will arrive in march! That seems so far away tho lol! But super exciting!

Last but not least! Don't forget about Simply Posh by Mel! Her cake pops are SO UNBELIEVABLY delicious! She is now catering to weddings! Take a look at this set up for a wedding she recently did! Amazing! We are actually using her cake pops as our wedding favors! Send to a special someone or just buy for a late night snack or treat for yourself!! These would make perfect favors or desserts for baby/bridal showers too!

Oh yeah... I wanted to link up with Tail Wagging Tuesdays but i dont think she did the link up today! You share a cute pic of your own pup! For some reason Chloe likes to sit like a human! She was not liking the fact of me taking pics of her lol.
